Introduction

This document explains the technologies that help our websites and web applications (collectively, the "Sites") work reliably and securely, and that help us understand aggregate usage. For simplicity, we refer to cookies, pixels, local or session storage, scripts that store or read identifiers on your device, and similar technologies together as "Trackers"—unless we specifically mean browser cookies alone.

Some Trackers are strictly necessary to operate the Sites or deliver security features. Others may be optional and, where required by law, will be used only based on your consent (for example through a cookie banner or preference center we provide). Whenever consent applies, you may withdraw it as described below.

DailyFamilyCall uses first-party Trackers (set by us) and may allow third-party Trackers when a vendor provides functionality on our Sites (for example a hosted payment or fraud-prevention frame). Third parties may access Trackers they manage according to their own policies; we summarize our relationship at a high level here and link to vendor documentation where helpful.

How DailyFamilyCall uses Trackers

Necessary

We use technical cookies and similar Trackers that are strictly necessary to run the Sites and deliver the online portions of the Service—for example to keep you signed in, protect against cross-site request forgery, maintain session integrity, route traffic, and detect basic abuse patterns. These Trackers are not used to build a cross-site marketing profile.

Functionality

We may use Trackers to remember non-essential preferences you select (such as theme, language where not tied to your account, or dismissed notices) so the Sites behave consistently when you return. If you block these Trackers, core features may still work, but some conveniences may reset between visits.

Measurement

We may use a limited set of analytics or diagnostics Trackers (including first-party or subprocessors we engage) to measure traffic, performance, and errors in aggregate. We configure such tools to minimize collection of personal data where we can. We do not sell personal information and we do not use Trackers for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in our Privacy Policy.

Payments and fraud prevention (third parties)

When you interact with billing flows, our payment processor (for example Stripe) may set cookies or use similar technologies needed for checkout, fraud prevention, and compliance. Those technologies are governed by the processor's documentation and agreements as well as this overview.

Marketing

We do not use advertising pixels or conversion trackers to deliver personalized third-party ads across the web based on your browsing on our Sites. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required before enabling such Trackers.

Retention. Session Trackers typically expire when you close your browser. Persistent Trackers may last for a defined period (often from a few days up to twelve months) depending on the tool, unless a longer period is required for security or legal compliance.

How to manage preferences and provide or withdraw consent

Where a Tracker is not strictly necessary, we will rely on consent or another lawful basis as required by applicable law. You can update choices through any cookie banner or preference center we present on the Sites.

For third-party Trackers, you can also use the controls described in the relevant vendor's privacy policy, industry opt-out tools, or your browser or device settings.

Control or delete Trackers via your browser or device

You may use browser or device settings to:

  • See what cookies or similar technologies have been stored;
  • Block or restrict cookies or storage;
  • Clear stored data from your browser.

Browser controls may not offer category-by-category consent in all cases. Blocking all cookies can affect sign-in and core functionality.

Interest-based advertising (general industry resources)

Even where we do not run interest-based ads, you may find these resources helpful for your browser generally: YourOnlineChoices (EU/UK), the Network Advertising Initiative (US), the Digital Advertising Alliance (US), DAAC (Canada), and the DDAI resource for Japan. The DAA also offers AppChoices for certain mobile apps.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track

Where required by law, we treat recognized opt-out signals (such as GPC) as a valid request to limit certain processing, including in connection with cookies where that signal applies to the Sites. Generic Do Not Track browser headers are not standardized; we may not respond beyond what applicable law requires.

Consequences of denying optional Trackers

You are free to refuse optional Trackers. If you do, we may be unable to provide certain conveniences or measurement insights tied to those technologies, but core Service delivery that does not depend on them should continue where technically possible.

Definitions and legal references

  • Personal Data / Personal Information: information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Usage Data: technical information collected automatically through the Sites, such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, pages viewed, and diagnostic events.
  • User: the individual using the Sites (typically the same person as the Data Subject for privacy requests).
  • Cookie: a small amount of data stored in the browser, commonly sent with HTTP requests.
  • Tracker: any technology—such as cookies, pixels, embedded scripts, or storage APIs—that enables reading or writing information on your device for the purposes described in this document.

This Cookie Policy is prepared to reflect common disclosure expectations across multiple jurisdictions. It applies to the Sites that link here unless we say otherwise.
